Please check if smartform is active in production system first.
Please debug the code and see if the cursor going into the function module. if it is going into code, then there may be issue with the system.
If the debugger is coming out of debugger, then there is issue in code.
And please check that production is having all the Webdynpro components.
And please check the version of the smartform. And check whether you have transported the correct (modified request number ) of the smartform.
