options of securing BAPI call from JCo

Dear all,

I have a question on how can I secure my calls from JAVA app of BAPI in SAP by leveraging SAP Java Connector? I mean by default the calls are not encrypted. I think a way to go is secure it by using SNC.

What are other options?
